format standards

To help unify the look-and-feel of lectures, we have developed a standard presentation format. The format includes a specific colour scheme and fonts.

presentation

The audience will be looking for a learning experiencew with continuity. For this, we have developed a presentation template to help you focus on content rather than on formatting.

The first page of a lecture

As much as possible, please adhere to the template. If you would like to help with the template design, contact Martin Krzywinski.

fonts

The font choices for the preliminary template version have been selected.

We use Helvetica Neue, Garamond and Adobe Caslon SC for presentation. Code is set in Lucida Console, while I'm looking for Sans Mono or The Sans.

colours

In the web site we use a combination of blues and yellows. It should be soothing and avoid eye-bleeds.
